Peter Armstrong is a Flex Developer who specializes in building Rich Internet Applications. His favorite combination is creating Flex application which commicate with a Ruby on Rails back-end. In fact, he's found this combination so powerful and flexible that he's written a book on the subject (www.flexiblerails.com ).
“ I think it assumed a fair bit of Rails knowledge because a lot of terminology was used such as migration, RESTful URLs, struts etc. and the speaker took for granted that we knew what those meant. I personally had read up on Rails a little bit so I wasn't totally lost, but I bet some people were. Nevertheless, it was inspiring to know that once you do know what you're doing, it doesn't take a lot of code to get started with a project. ”
